As a society we are always keen to hear from people interested in finding out more about the group and who are considering joining our ranks. Below is some general guidance. The easiest way to get latest information and a human response is to write to us.
Our next show will be The Pirates Of Penzance in April 2027. It is the perfect show to come and get involved in being in a show. It is funny, it is full of fantastic music, and it is finely crafted.
Get in touch if you would like to be involved.
Becoming a member of the society is straightforward - you make contact and pay your subs.
There is much to be done to turn a few enthusiastic rehearsals into a fully-fledged production: designing costumes, constructing sets, sourcing props, programming websites, focusing lighting rigs, and more. These are vital, yet satisfying, undertakings.
We have a good-sized team who work across all the off-stage areas. That said, we are always open to hear from people who want to get involved. We cannot guarantee opportunities – it depends on the project we are working on – but we love being asked.
We love to hear new voices within our group each year, whether looking to blend into the safety of the chorus, or stepping confidently to the front taking a principal role. There are two things to know:

For our main productions we have a professional Musical Director and Artistic Director. They bring bags of experience, heaps of passion, and a toolbox of tips and tricks. Click below to learn more about our mighty creative team.
For some smaller projects we invite experienced members of the society to step forward and learn the hard way about being the creative force behind a show. These can be existing shows (e.g. Into The Woods in 2014), or these can be new pieces with original elements written by the team (e.g. A Nice Dilemma in 2017, Satirical Silliness in 2023).
