Set Building Diary Episode 6: (I'm now pretty sure it is indeed episode 6). So, with only just over a week before our 'Get-In' day set building has moved up a gear. Today we spent the afternoon and early evening painting the back wall of Ford's Theatre (you may remember these from episode 1 (I think) when I first fixed the brick to the flats.
I'd never tried this technique before and at about the point where I took the first image I wasn't exactly filled with confidence I was doing it right. What do you think? Anyway the end result isn't too bad....maybe needs a bit of fettling.
We also gave the last and the largest of the Air conditioning boxes a first couple of coats of silver paint.
Today our Director Anita Adams was painting badly on purpose some genuine Tudor Italian doorways for our set of Padua.
Also shown here today is the first of two fake doors to be used with our brick walls. Book your tickets now to see all this hard work put to use
